Summary

Under the collaborative direction of the Senior Director, Kensington, and the Deputy Director of Project-Based Housing, the Director will oversee administrative and clinical aspects of Project-based Housing programs across Los Angeles County. Responsibilities include managing Assistant Directors and Program Managers, collaborating with Housing Authorities and funders, and ensuring program operations, reporting, and outcomes meet organizational standards.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Oversee supportive service teams to engage and support homeless individuals in housing programs.
  2. Coordinate with housing developers, landlords, and property managers to secure housing resources.
  3. Collaborate with team members to remove barriers to permanent housing and retention.
  4. Supervise clinical and administrative staff, including those working toward licensure.
  5. Lead team meetings and case conferences.
  6. Assess program processes, identify gaps, and implement improvements.
  7. Manage crisis situations, including mental health and medical crises, and oversee crisis interventions.
  8. Coordinate with management on property issues and crises.
  9. Maintain documentation for grants and conduct quality assurance reviews.
  10. Generate reports, manage client data corrections, and assist with audits.
  11. Serve as liaison with Housing Authorities, DHS, DMH, and leadership teams.
  12. Support funding applications and special projects as needed.
Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Social Work, MFT, Psychology, or related field.
  • Licensed for at least 2 years, in good standing with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences preferred.
  • Experience with severe mental illness and co-occurring disorders.
  • Management/supervisory experience (preferred).
  • Knowledge of local and federal benefits and entitlements.
Work Environment

Requires travel to various sites, physical activity including sitting, standing, bending, and lifting up to 35 pounds. Work may occur in busy, loud, and outdoor environments, with exposure to elements such as cold, heat, dust, noise, and odors.
