Qualifications

  • 10+ years in strategic communications, policy, and advocacy
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
  • Strong understanding of U.S. economic opportunity and workforce development
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams and stakeholders in a fast paced environment
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement and coalition building skills; senior partner collaboration
  • Experience translating complex program work into persuasive messaging
  • Proven writing, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Experience in media relations, digital strategy and content creation
  • Experience handling sensitive information and crisis management
  • Experience navigating nonprofit, government, and corporate sectors globally

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute an evidence-based program influence strategy and outreach plans
  • Surface proof points and craft external narrative aligned with institutional messaging
  • Lead strategic convenings and represent the Foundation at events
  • Coordinate with Communications, Policy & Advocacy and other teams to align strategies
  • Develop the program’s annual channel and content plan using analytics to track reach and influence
  • Ensure content adheres to editorial standards and brand voice across channels
  • Identify where evidence-based claims influence policy and monitor risk
  • Advise leadership on narrative positioning and cross‑Foundation learning
  • Oversee project management system, milestones, and vendor engagements
  • Support other programs and contribute to annual goals and institutional communication decisions
