Responsibilities

• Provide ongoing operational finance support for Production Operations, Creative Operations and GCSO teams, including technology support/solutions and vendor management.
• Track Production, Creative Services and GCSO operating expenses and allocate capital spend with Ops and FP&A teams.
• Partner with Corporate FP&A for budgets, long-range plans and in-year pacing, including ad hoc financial analysis.

Job Description

The Director serves a key role on the Versant Production & Distribution Finance team, reporting to the Director, Production & Distribution Finance and serving as an operational finance support partner to the “Production – News/Sports”, “Creative Operations” and “Global Corporate Security Operations (GCSO)” teams. The role provides the unique opportunity for extensive visibility with the Versant leadership team and experience both shaping and managing the operations of a recently formed Media company.

The Production & Distribution Finance team is responsible for providing the full suite of operational Finance support to the President of Operations & Technology. This team will be responsible for supporting strategic decisions on the set-up of the Versant Production Operations, Creative Operations & Global Corporate Security Operations and providing ongoing financial support on day-to-day operations and guiding long-term initiatives.

The Director of Production Finance will specifically support Operations Leaders, including the SVP of Production News, SVP Production Sports, SVP Creative Operations and SVP Global Corporate Security Operations as well as a team of 500+ Full Time Employees (10 Operations Vice Presidents+). Production Operations manages expenses and capital projects in excess of $130M.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Supporting the President of Operations & Technology and Operations Leadership team in making strategic decisions related to setting-up new technical and operational solutions for Versant
• Providing ongoing operational finance support for the Production Operations, Creative Operations and Global Corporate Security Operations teams, including enabling Company-wide Technology support/solutions, Production infrastructure and operations, managing key vendor relationships, and providing financial support across Versant Operations
• Managing tracking of Production, Creative Services and GCSO operating expenses and allocating capital spend in collaboration with Operations & Technology Finance/Ops. Teams and Versant Corporate FP&A team
• Partnering with Versant Corporate FP&A team with key inputs for ongoing forecasting, including budgets/long-range plans, in-year pacing and ad hoc financial analysis and specifically for Production, Creative Services and GCSO Operations

Additional Information:

Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week. Subject to change based on Manager discussion or business need.

Salary Information: $150,000 - $160,0000 (bonus and long term incentive eligible)
