About Perry Weather

Perry Weather is the weather safety standard for organizations that operate outdoors.

We combine on-site weather hardware with a software platform that automates alerts, siren activations, and safety decisions for more than 3,000 organizations - from the PGA of America, the NFL, and MLB to Turner Construction, thousands of school districts, cities, and golf courses.

We've grown 80%+ annually for five consecutive years, and are continuing to grow.

We're headquartered in Dallas at The Centrum, in the Oak Lawn neighborhood, where our teams work together every day to help organizations make faster and safer decisions when weather puts people, assets, and operations at risk.

About The Role

When you join Perry Weather, you're joining an incredibly driven, high-performing team of builders committed to protecting hundreds of thousands of people from weather-related risks and helping organizations operate with minimal disruption. We combine software, integrated hardware, and real-time weather data into one platform that helps teams make better decisions when lives, assets, and operations are on the line.

This role is for someone who wants to operate at the intersection of high autonomy and high accountability at a rapidly scaling company. You find problems and opportunities and work urgently to solve them. You’re equally comfortable setting strategy, talking to customers, and writing the messaging for our next launch.

We need a leader who can connect what we build to why buyers care. You’ll work across Product, Sales, Growth, Content, and Customer Success to define our positioning, bring products to market, and help Perry Weather win as we enter new verticals and move upmarket.

Responsibilities

As Director of Product Marketing, you’ll lead the product marketing function and own how Perry Weather’s value is understood across our markets. You’ll be responsible for:

  • Developing positioning that connects our full platform to the needs of buyers across our core and emerging verticals.
  • Leading go-to-market strategy for new products, capabilities, and market expansion.
  • Turning customer and market insights into messaging, sales tools, and launch programs that drive measurable business outcomes.
  • Building the priorities, processes, and resources needed to scale product marketing with the business.
Positioning & Messaging
  • Own the product story across our software, hardware, alerts, and data. Translate individual capabilities into a clear, compelling platform value proposition.
  • Evolve our positioning as we expand into new markets and larger accounts, connecting weather safety to broader operational value.
  • Develop messaging for distinct buyers and use cases, from a high school athletic director to a construction EHS leader.
  • Own the messaging hierarchy across our website, product pages, and launch materials. Partner with Growth, Content, and Creative to bring it to life consistently.
Go-to-Market & Launches
  • Set the go-to-market strategy for major product and feature launches, from audience definition and positioning through execution and post-launch analysis.
  • Align Product, Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success around launch priorities, responsibilities, and measures of success.
  • Match the scale of each launch to its customer and business impact, focusing resources where they can make the greatest difference.
  • Partner with Growth and Customer Success on programs that help existing customers understand, adopt, and expand their use of the platform.
Customer & Market Insight
  • Know our markets deeply. Understand buyer roles, purchasing triggers, decision processes, governing body requirements, and competitive alternatives.
  • Build a regular practice of customer interviews, win/loss analysis, and competitive research.
  • Use those insights to guide segmentation, positioning, market entry recommendations, and sales strategy.
  • Bring a clear market perspective to Product leadership, helping inform roadmap priorities and how new capabilities are packaged and introduced.
Sales Enablement & Leadership
  • Partner with Sales leadership to improve how our story lands in the field, especially in larger deals with multiple stakeholders.
  • Develop the tools that help sellers win, including pitch narratives, competitive guidance, objection handling, and value frameworks.
  • Train customer-facing teams on new positioning and launches, then use their feedback to improve the message and materials.
  • Set priorities for the product marketing function, lead cross-functional contributors and external partners, and identify hiring and resource needs as the company grows.
What Success Looks Like
  • Clear, differentiated positioning that buyers understand and customer-facing teams use consistently.
  • Product launches that generate qualified demand, support sales opportunities, and drive adoption.
  • Stronger sales execution across core verticals, emerging markets, and larger accounts.
  • Customer and competitive insights that meaningfully influence product and go-to-market decisions.
  • Measurable improvement in launch performance, sales conversion, and product adoption, in partnership with the teams responsible for those outcomes.
  • A product marketing function with clear priorities and repeatable processes that keep pace with the business.
Requirements
  • 8+ years of product marketing or closely related experience in B2B SaaS, technology, or a hardware/software business.
  • Experience leading a product marketing function or team, setting strategy, and staying close to execution.
  • Proven success developing differentiated positioning and leading significant launches with measurable business impact.
  • Experience marketing to multiple buyer personas or verticals with different needs, buying processes, and sales motions.
  • Excellent writer and storyteller who can translate technical capabilities into clear customer value.
  • Strong customer research, competitive analysis, and sales enablement experience.
  • Ability to turn performance data and field feedback into decisions about positioning, launches, and investment.
  • Practical experience using AI tools to improve research, writing, analysis, and workflows.
  • Experience with enterprise sales, integrated hardware/software products, or safety-related industries is a plus.
  • Based in Dallas or willing to relocate for an in-office role.
Why This Role Matters at Perry Weather

Perry Weather is at an inflection point. We’re growing 80-100% year over year, launching quickly, and expanding into markets like construction, manufacturing, and renewable energy.

Our product is ahead of our positioning. Safety remains at the core of what we do, but the value we deliver now extends further into how organizations plan, make decisions, and keep operations moving. We need a product marketing leader who can make that value clear to new and existing audiences.

You’ll help shape how we enter markets, introduce products, and compete for larger opportunities. The work will directly influence how customers understand Perry Weather and how effectively the business grows.

Benefits

The whole team is here Monday through Friday, which means real collaboration, no chasing people down over Slack, and a genuinely fun place to spend your work days.
  • Your wellbeing is covered. Competitive health insurance, 401(k) with employer matching, and a full suite of voluntary benefits, because you shouldn't have to think twice about the basics.
  • Good people, good times. Monthly All-Hands, Office Olympics, happy hours, and more. We take the work seriously and the culture seriously too.
  • You're getting in early, and that matters. We're growing fast, but the biggest opportunities are still ahead. The people joining now will help shape what Perry Weather becomes.
