Job description

Basic Function

The Director of Product Management – Product Operations will lead and scale our Product Operations function in support of our growing suite of financial technology solutions for banks and credit unions. This leadership role will oversee and enable core operational functions including program management for product delivery, external customer training, pricing operations, and product adoption and delivery metrics. As the Director, you’ll lead a team of functional experts and work cross-functionally with Product Management, Engineering, Customer Success, and Go-to-Market teams. The Director will ensure our product organization runs smoothly, efficiently, and in close alignment with the needs of our financial institution customers.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

Lead the Product Management Operations function in the following areas:

Program Management for Product Delivery

Lead the program management function supporting multiple agile development teams delivering core features, platform enhancements, and custom solutions for financial institutions.

Drive planning, prioritization, and execution alignment across product managers, scrum teams and internal stakeholders.

Ensure delivery cadence, inter-team coordination, and visibility across initiatives, including those tied to customer-specific commitments.

Establish and maintain best practices for backlog hygiene, sprint planning, and cross-team delivery health.

Drive the overall PDLC process and lead major initiatives associated with the deployment process including roadmap updates, phase and sprint planning, sprint demos, release notes and team readiness

Customer Training & Enablement

Oversee the external training strategy for our customers — including the design, delivery, and evolution of training programs across our product suite.

Ensure banks and credit unions have the knowledge needed to successfully adopt, use, and gain value from our products.

Partner with Product, Support, and Customer Success teams to continuously improve training materials, formats, and effectiveness.

Pricing & Packaging Operations

Lead the operational implementation of pricing and packaging strategies in collaboration with Product, Finance, and Go-to-Market leadership.

Ensure accurate, scalable processes for pricing updates, product configurations, and customer communication.

Support the pricing function in the product organization and maintain clear, up-to-date pricing documentation and tools.

Product Data & Insights

Help establish key product data required to deliver actionable insights including product usage, adoption, delivery performance, and customer impact.

Partner with Product Management and Insights teams to define key metrics, improve data quality, and enhance product decision-making.

Ensure teams have the right tools and dashboards to track success and spot opportunities.

Supervisory Responsibility:

Set clear expectations, offer direction, and ensure alignment with organizational goals while fostering a supportive environment that encourages collaboration, accountability, and growth.

Coach, mentor, and provide training opportunities to build team members’ skills, promote internal growth, and prepare staff for future roles and responsibilities.

Manage hiring, onboarding, performance evaluations, promotions, compensation, and terminations, ensuring fair and consistent application of policies and procedures.

Assess team performance regularly, address gaps, and ensure duties are completed efficiently and effectively in alignment with department and organizational objectives.

Position Specifications

Education:

Required Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Management Information Systems (MIS), or related fields.

Preferred

Master’s degree or MBA

Certifications in Agile or product management methodologies.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

5 to 8 years of experience in Product Management, preferably within Digital Banking or related industries.

Extensive knowledge of Agile SCRUM methodologies and product development lifecycles.

Proven ability to commercialize complex products, including managing cross-functional and vendor teams.

Strong data-driven decision-making skills and analytical capabilities.

Outstanding communication, presentation, and writing skills, with experience delivering presentations to diverse audiences.

Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities for developing high-functioning teams.

Deep understanding of digital banking concepts and technical design strategies.

Expertise in financial modeling to support product profitability goals.

Proficiency in managing vendor relationships and partnerships.

Preferred experience building and managing high-performing product teams with responsibility across multiple products and markets.

Travel:

Minimal, generally 20 days or less per year



$210,000 - $240,000 a year
