Job Description:

Position Overview

The Product Manager will oversee Epiq global’s proprietary eDiscovery product, Epiq Discovery. This individual will collaborate across various departments, including engineering, sales, operations, client services, and finance, to drive sales growth and increase product profitability.

This role demands creativity, discipline, and the ability to manage multiple complex threads simultaneously. Success in this position hinges on a strong capacity for compromise and negotiation, fostering partnerships with a steadfast focus on delivery.

They should form strong, yet loosely held opinions and be able to build trust across all business areas. Responsibilities

  • Define and communicate a clear product vision and strategy that aligns with business goals.
  • Partner with engineering teams to oversee the product development lifecycle.
  • Participate in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives to ensure successful delivery of features.
  • Write clear and comprehensive product specifications, user stories, or feature briefs.
  • Create and maintain a product roadmap, prioritizing features and improvements based on business value and customer impact.
  • Identify market trends, customer needs, and competitive insights to shape product direction.
  • Work collaboratively with stakeholders to align priorities and expectations.
  • Gather input from cross-functional teams, customers, and market research to define product requirements.
  • Act as a bridge between development, sales, marketing, operations, and support teams to ensure cohesive execution.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and facilitate alignment across departments.
  • Collaborate with marketing team and Product Marketing Manager to craft messaging, positioning, and campaigns for product launches.
  • Enable sales teams with training, collateral, and insights to support product adoption.
  • Identify and resolve product-related issues, ensuring minimal disruption to customers.
  • Serve as the escalation point for significant product concerns.
  • Conduct research to understand market dynamics, competitor offerings, and emerging opportunities.
  • Provide internal teams with the knowledge they need to support and promote the product effectively.
  • Partner with support teams to address customer issues and ensure satisfaction.
  • Propose ideas for new products or enhancements to existing products to drive innovation.

Qualifications & Characteristics

  • Legal technology / eDiscovery experience is highly desirable.
  • Managed SaaS products with $20+ million product revenue.
  • Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product.
  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • 7+ years of product management experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced and rapid-changing environment.
  • Experience with end-to-end product delivery, from conception through completion.
  • Demonstrated track record in defining roadmap strategy and definition.
  • Excellent speaking, listening, and writing skills; attention to detail; proactive self-starter.
  • Ability to develop new ideas and creative solutions.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong initiative and ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to quickly learn and support new applications and technologies
  • Demonstrable knowledge of scripting and cloud/AI technologies

The compensation range for this role is 150,000.00 to 190,000.00 USD annually and may be eligible for an annual bonus.
