Job summary

Teledyne Technologies Incorporated is seeking a Director of Product Line Management for Connectors to lead vision, strategy, and lifecycle across a portfolio of innovative products. You will drive growth and market expansion while partnering with Engineering, Operations, Quality, Sales, Manufacturing, and senior leadership.

The role combines business acumen, technical understanding, and market insight to translate customer needs into profitable product strategies and drive end-to-end execution.

Qualifications

Job Description

At Teledyne Interconnect Solutions, we're looking for a strategic and results-driven Director of Product Line Management- Connectors to lead the vision, strategy, and lifecycle of a portfolio of innovative products. In this highly visible leadership role, you will drive product growth, profitability, and market expansion while partnering closely with Engineering, Operations, Quality, Sales, Manufacturing, and executive leadership.


This position is ideal for a leader who combines strong business acumen, technical understanding, and market insight to translate customer needs into profitable product strategies.


What You’ll Do

Lead Product Strategy & Portfolio Growth


  • Develop and execute long‑term product line strategies aligned with business objectives and market opportunities.

  • Own the performance, growth, and profitability of assigned product portfolios.

  • Drive product lifecycle management from concept through commercialization and end‑of‑life planning.

  • Identify market trends, emerging technologies, and competitive opportunities to maintain industry leadership.


Drive Business Performance


  • Establish revenue, margin, and growth objectives for product lines.

  • Develop business cases, financial models, and investment recommendations for new product initiatives.

  • Monitor product performance and implement strategies to maximize profitability and market share.

  • Present product strategies, forecasts, and recommendations to senior leadership.


Champion Customer & Market Success


  • Gather and translate customer requirements into actionable product strategies.

  • Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and customer engagement activities.

  • Serve as the voice of the customer across the organization.

  • Support key customer interactions, strategic sales opportunities, and executive‑level business discussions.


Lead Cross‑Functional Execution


  • Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Operations, and Supply Chain teams to successfully develop and launch products.

  • Ensure alignment between technical capabilities, customer requirements, and business objectives.

  • Drive execution of product roadmaps, development timelines, and commercialization plans.

  • Influence stakeholders at all levels to achieve strategic product goals.


Build Partnerships & Organizational Capability


  • Identify strategic partnerships and business opportunities that expand product offerings or market reach.

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to accelerate growth initiatives.

  • Provide leadership, coaching, and mentorship across cross‑functional teams.

  • Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.


What You Bring

Required Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing, or a related field.

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in Product Management, Product Line Management, Program Management, or a related leadership role.

  • Demonstrated success driving product strategy, portfolio management, and business growth.

  • Experience leading products through the complete lifecycle from concept development to market launch and retirement.

  • Strong financial acumen, including experience with business cases, profitability analysis, forecasting, and strategic planning.

  • Proven ability to influence and lead cross‑functional teams in a matrixed environment.

  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.


Preferred Qualifications


  • MBA or advanced technical degree.

  • Experience in manufacturing, aerospace, defense, electronics, marine technology, or other highly engineered industries.

  • Experience managing complex technical products and product portfolios.

  • Strong understanding of market analysis, competitive positioning, and commercialization strategies.

Salary Range

$150,400.00-$200,500.000


The anticipated salary range listed for this role is only an estimate. Actual compensation for successful candidates is carefully determined based on several factors including, but not limited to, location, education/training, work experience, key skills, and type of position.
