Job summary

Citrin Cooperman is seeking a seasoned Private Client Services Director in the Tax Department to lead complex individual, fiduciary, and partnership work with hedge fund and private equity K1s. You will mentor staff, manage client accounts, and drive planning and compliance initiatives for a growing portfolio.

The role requires strong technical tax knowledge, leadership skills, and a client-focused approach as part of Citrin Cooperman’s collaborative, growth-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; Masters in Taxation preferred; CPA preferred.
• 10+ years of public accounting experience, including 5+ years in a supervisory role.
• Knowledge of hedge fund and private equity K1s; excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Review of tax returns, income tax projections and tax workpapers; federal and state individual and fiduciary returns.
• Strong technical skills in individual and fiduciary income tax; working knowledge in partnerships and S-corporations.
• Direct contact to client and manage all aspects of client accounts
• Provide consulting, planning and compliance for clients
• Research and document tax issues and identify planning opportunities
• Review accuracy of tax returns and minimize tax liability for clients
• Work to expand client base and support business development activities
• Ensure timeliness and completeness of projects
• Mentor, train and supervise staff
