Job summary

Meta seeks a seasoned Director of the Privacy Exam and Audit to lead a company-wide privacy compliance program, partnering with product, legal, business, and engineering teams to integrate privacy-by-design into operations and product lifecycles.

You will own and defend Meta's privacy compliance position during external examinations, manage external auditors, regulators, and assessors, and drive scalable, defensible processes across the organization.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of product operations, program management, compliance, or IT experience.
• 15+ years delivering technical programs or products from inception to delivery across organizations.
• Experience managing and developing teams, including managers or senior individual contributors.
• Demonstrated experience managing relationships with external auditors, independent assessors, or regulators, including owning information requests and presenting directly to external parties.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related discipline or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Define, refine, and scale company-wide privacy compliance operating processes (i.e. privacy control testing, issue management, change management, certification).
• Design, implement, and maintain scalable compliance operations with a well-documented roadmap, goals, and objectives.
• Develop and improve testing procedures to measure and improve the effectiveness of privacy controls and safeguards.
• Develop and manage KPIs to drive continuous improvement to the compliance operating model.
• Own accountability for regulated deliverables with fixed external deadlines, and represent the state of privacy compliance to executive leadership and Board committees.
• Coordinate internally ahead of external engagement — aligning Legal, product, and engineering stakeholders on messaging.
