Job summary

Nurix Therapeutics is seeking a Director of Preclinical Safety and Toxicology Operations to drive planning and execution of nonclinical safety and toxicology activities within our Research and Early Development division. The role covers operational support and program management for IND-enabling studies, coordinating with subject-matter experts and leadership to keep projects on schedule and within budget.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in biotech/pharma, deep knowledge of nonclinical safety,

Qualifications

M.S. or Ph.D. in life sciences (toxicology, pharmacology, biology, chemistry, pharmaceutical sciences, or related).
Formal project management credential such as PMP is preferred.
Typically 10+ years in biotech/pharma with multidisciplinary program PM ownership.
Experience in managing CROs and external vendors, including contracting and budgeting.

Responsibilities

Toxicology study support and vendor management: scope, design, schedule safety studies; identify, qualify, and manage CROs; draft and route contracts; track budgets and invoices.
Program management: lead discovery to IND-enabling studies; maintain integrated program plans and critical paths; lead meetings and capture decisions.
Cross-functional leadership: connect functions across sites; improve PM practices, templates, and tools.
