The Precision Medicine Director is a senior-level position responsible for leading strategic initiatives across our community oncology network, with a focus on the integration and advancement of precision medicine. This role requires a high degree of strategic acumen and exceptional communication skills, ensuring that program objectives are met and that the highest standards of patient care are maintained through innovative precision medicine solutions.

As a senior leader, the Precision Medicine Director will set strategic goals and drive initiatives to enhance our oncology network's capabilities. The successful candidate will possess a proven track record of effective collaboration across teams, exceptional presentation skills, and the ability to manage complex initiatives independently while also seeking support when needed.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in goal-setting for complex initiatives, developing measurable key performance indicators, and managing diverse projects. Experience in precision medicine, including biomarker testing and targeted therapies, is highly desirable. The candidate should be adept at keeping pace with industry trends and advancements, summarizing their implications, and communicating these effectively to program leaders and stakeholders.

This role involves leading cross-functional programs, liaising with technology, legal, marketing, and other teams to drive precision medicine initiatives. The Precision Medicine Director will use independent judgment to implement strategic goals, ensure the attainment of program objectives through measurable results, and provide content expertise to stakeholders.

Under the guidance of the Vice President and Senior Director, the Precision Medicine Director will be accountable for the success of precision medicine programs. A bachelor’s degree in a healthcare-related field is required, with an MBA, PhD, or another advanced degree preferred. The candidate should have significant experience in healthcare, precision medicine, or oncology, with a focus on strategic leadership and program management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set and pursue strategic goals for the Precision Medicine program in consultation with the Vice President and Senior Director.
  • Work effectively across the enterprise oncology ecosystem to implement cross-functional programs.
  • Keep abreast of precision medicine trends and advancements, summarizing their importance and implications for program leaders.
  • Be accountable for attaining program objectives through measurable results.
  • Liaise with technology, legal, marketing, and other teams to provide input and insight on precision medicine-related programs.
  • Provide content expertise to both internal and external stakeholders as needed.
  • Travel up to 25% to engage with stakeholders and ensure program success.
  • Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Typically requires 12+ years of professional experience and 4+ years of management experience.
