Job summary

Ormco is seeking a Director, Project Management to lead the organization’s project management function within a medical device environment. You will oversee the Project Priority List, align initiatives with strategic priorities, and lead a team of project and program managers.

You will partner with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to manage risks, ensure compliance, and drive business objectives while maintaining execution discipline in a regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, Business, Project Management, or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive project, program, or portfolio management experience with cross-functional leadership.
• 5+ years of people leadership experience managing project/ program leadership roles.
• Experience in medical device, life sciences, healthcare tech, or regulated industry.
• Experience managing project portfolios, governance, and executive reporting.
• Strong PM methodologies, portfolio management, risk, schedule, and stakeholder communication.
• Ability to influence senior leaders without direct authority and drive decisions in complex environments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; strong problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, and portfolio reporting.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage the Project Priority List (PPL); align priorities with strategy.
• Lead program KPIs: On-Time-Delivery, budget, and business impact.
• Develop and coach Project Leads, Project/Program Managers.
• Conduct monthly portfolio reviews with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Drive governance and continuous improvement of PM processes and tools.
• Partner with senior leaders to evaluate trade-offs and resource constraints.
• Ensure project plans include scope, schedules, milestones, budgets, risks, and communications.
• Support medical device development and lifecycle management as needed.
