Job summary

Highland Springs Behavioral Health Hospital, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking a Director of Pharmacy in Highland Hills, OH. The role leads departmental operations, clinical programs, and regulatory compliance to deliver high‑quality patient care.

The position emphasizes strategic planning, staffing, budgeting, and evidence‑based practice integration, with emphasis on professional growth and cross‑functional collaboration within the hospital network.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy with Pharmacist degree. Pharm.D. preferred.
• MBA/MS or equivalent education/experience preferred
• Current State Certification/Licensure as required by state.
• Minimum three years' experience in hospital pharmacy is desirable.
• Demonstrated management/leadership skills and/or program management
• Business Mathematical Skills -- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Moderate Computer Skills -- Frequent use of electronic mail, word processing, data entry, spreadsheets, graphics, etc.
• Complex Communication -- Frequently communicates complex information and interacts with management.
• Varied Business Problems - Problems are varied and complex, requiring analysis or interpretation of the situation.

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements departmental goals, plans, and standards consistent with the clinical, administrative, legal, and ethical requirements/objectives of the organization.
• Directs and evaluates departmental operations, including patient care delivery, information technologies, service level determination, and complaint management, to achieve performance and quality control objectives.
• Plans and monitors staffing activities, including hiring, orienting, evaluating, disciplinary actions, and continuing education initiatives.
• Prepares, monitors, and evaluates departmental budgets, and ensures that the department operates in compliance with allocated funding. Coordinates and directs internal/external audits.
• Creates and fosters an environment that encourages professional growth.
• Integrates evidence-based practices into operations and clinical protocols.
• Regular and reliable attendance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Highland Springs is a behavioral health hospital located in Highland Hills, OH, part of the greater Cleveland area. We provide high-quality compassionate care for those facing mental health and addiction challenges.

Programs include inpatient mental health and addiction treatment, Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHP), and Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP).

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage the work of others, including planning, assigning, scheduling and reviewing work, ensures quality standards. Responsible for hiring, terminating, training and developing, reviewing performance and administering corrective action for staff.

What we're looking for

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

Education:

• Varied Business Problems - Problems are varied and complex, requiring analysis or interpretation of the situation. Problems are solved using knowledge and skills, general precedent and practices.
