Job summary

Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital Plymouth is seeking a transformative Director to oversee Perioperative Services, including Anesthesia, Endoscopy, Pain Management, Vein Center and Sterile Processing. You will provide strategic leadership to ensure high-quality, efficient patient care across the continuum.

The role requires MS in Nursing or related field (or MBA/administrator track) with an RN license in MA, extensive surgical services leadership, and strong financial management.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• BSN required; MS in Nursing or related field preferred.
• Massachusetts RN license in good standing (BLS/ACLS; AORN certification preferred).
• Several years of progressively responsible managerial/administrative experience; leadership in surgical services.
• Strong financial acumen with ability to read and manage operational/capital budgets.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and oversight to Perioperative Services, Anesthesia, Endoscopy, Pain Management Center, Vein Center and Sterile Processing.
• Develop and implement initiatives to expand and maximize service effectiveness and patient flow.
• Collaborate with nursing and medical leadership on service delivery, technology, equipment, and budgeting.

• Lead quality improvement initiatives and participate in hospital-wide committees.
• Evaluate staff, provide feedback, and support education opportunities for students and staff.

## Director, Perioperative ServicesApply: Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital Plymouth: Full time: Posted Today: JR105836**When you join the growing BILH team, you're not just taking a job, you’re making a difference in people’s lives.**24/7 operational & clinical oversite of Perioperative Services**Job Description:****Duties/Responsibilities:*** Provides strategic leadership and oversight to the continuum of Perioperative services, Anesthesia Services, Endoscopy Services, Pain Management Center, Vein Center and Sterile Processing Services to accomplish sustained profitable growth in all areas of responsibility.* Develops and implements initiatives to expand and maximize the effectiveness of the Services including targeted performance improvement initiatives for all areas.* Promotes the development and implementation of best practices and the cultivation of a highly efficient patient flow process.* Collaborates with the nursing and medical staff leadership structure on issues related to service delivery, technology and equipment, capital planning, revenue generation and enhancement and all other related administrative matters.* Coordinates resources to meet patient care demands. Ensures programs and services are in compliance with hospital and corporate policies as well as federal, state and local agency regulations.* Evaluates the orientation and performance of new employees at scheduled evaluation meetings and provides timely feedback to employees.* Supports instructors from schools of education to provide for student learning opportunities.* Ensures timely data collection, analysis of information and operational response to such information – including but not limited to: payroll, FTE budget, operational budgets, patient/family satisfaction and evidence based clinically effective quality outcome measures.
