The Director, People Department with the assignment of organization effectiveness/culture programs, designs and administers the program to imbed the “Welbe Way” in our everyday norms and work practices. The Welbe Way – comprised of our approach to foster high performing teams and establish service standards – is a critical element of our path toward expansion of our PACE services to vulnerable seniors. The work carefully balances human relationships and connections, with scaled approaches, using hiring assessments, training, recognition and measurement. The Director nurtures collaborative and trust-based relationships at every level of WelbeHealth, always with our mission and values in mind. The work of the director will be overseen by the President of WelbeHealth during the launch (approximately 4 months) with administrative reporting to the Chief People Officer. After successful implementation, the role reports through the People Team’s Workforce Learning and Performance team.

Essential Job Duties

  • Oversee the launch and sustainability plan for the Welbe Way program
  • High Performing Teams–Deeply imbed five behaviors of healthy teamsthroughworkshops, meeting templates, team norm/expectations, and reinforcement to promote sustainedteam decisions, actions and outcomes.
  • Service Mindset Campaign –Strengthen our participant and team member interactions by imbedding a service mindset in the day-to-day behaviors and norms of every Welbe team members through training workshops, team and individual commitments, and Welbe wide reinforcement.
  • During the launch phase, design, build, and implement training, tools, and people that are felt and acted upon by all Welbe team members
  • Drive stakeholder sponsorship and achievement of goal via strong influencing skills and intuitive/easy request for action
  • Collaborate with central and market teams to design the programs and activities that resonate and “stick” with leaders and team members
  • Work to include team onboarding and training, direct team observation and coaching, team leader coaching, monitoring and feedback using data and analytics, and locally trained ambassador/advocates
  • Following launch,implement the sustainability plan for the Welbe Way program
  • Imbed concepts in new hire orientation, team meetings, and Welbe-wide recognition.
  • Bring new practices and processes to Welbe that continually reinforce and reenergize the “Welbe Way”.
  • Represent the “Welbe Way” externally for recruiting, community building, and overall best practice sharing.
  • At the conclusion of the campaign (expected late 2025), the role fully integrates into Welbe’s Workforce Learning and Performance (WLP) team, which has Welbe-wide accountability team member learning, engagement, and performance success.The director will work closely with the WLP leader in defining specific areas of responsibility that will leverage the Director’s culture, learning and organization development/effectiveness capabilities.
  • The People Director is a member of the People leadership team with expectations:
  • Measure results and monitor KPIs in assignment area.
  • Actively participate in People Department activities, including KPI review/action, talent assessment/development, flexible work opportunities, and communities.
  • Manage ongoing organizational initiatives that enable and improve company culture as we grow and scale.
  • Ensure core HR services are performed with high quality leverage service excellence principles and compliance.
  • Engage with team members on their performance and career growth.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree is required. Master’s degree preferred.
  • SHRM certification preferred.
  • Minimum of five years of progressive career experience in organization effectiveness, learning and development or related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to design and implement organization-wide culture or learning initiatives with successful change management.
  • Demonstrated experience working with senior executives as well as front-line team members to achieve a specific goal.
  • Experience leading in a data-driven organization, leveraging reports and data to prioritize and manage people and projects.

Salary/Wage base range for this role is $159,939 - $211,119 / year + Bonus + Equity. WelbeHealth offers competitive total rewards package that includes, 401k match, healthcare coverage and a broad range of other benefits. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience and other qualifications.
