Job summary

Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center is seeking a pediatric gastroenterologist specialized in pancreatology for the Medical Director role of the Pancreas Care Center (PCC). The ideal candidate would be at the associate professor or professor level, ideally with pancreas-specific training and a pancreas-focused clinical interest.

Interventional endoscopists are welcome and encouraged to apply, however this is not a requirement for the position.

Qualifications

• MD, DO, or equivalent degree.
• Current active medical license issued by the State of Ohio or eligible for license.
• Board certification in Pediatric Gastroenterology.
• Associate Professor or Professor appointment or eligibility.
• Generally requires a minimum of five years of service at the Assistant Professor rank.
• Demonstrated leadership and experience managing multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong commitment to patient care, education, and research.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Pancreas Care Center as the clinical leader, coordinating with other disciplines.
• Develop and implement clinical protocols and pathways to enhance patient outcomes.
• Collaborate with the center director and division leaders to ensure resources and growth.
• Lead a multi-disciplinary team to provide family-centered care.
• Coordinate care across disciplines for pancreas patients and mentor trainees.
• Support and lead research efforts to advance patient management.

Education
