Peabody Energy seeks a strategic Director of Peabody Development for our St. Louis area HQ with Des Peres office.
The role leads multi-phase development, JV deals, financial modeling, due diligence, and negotiations to advance the company's strategic plan. The position emphasizes identifying opportunities to maximize asset value, staying aligned with energy markets and regulatory requirements, and managing existing joint ventures and commercial agreements.
We are seeking a strategic Director, Peabody Development to work within our St. Louis Headquarters, with offices located in Des Peres, Missouri.
This pivotal role is responsible for identifying, evaluating, recommending, negotiating, and executing corporate, domestic, and international business opportunities that support the company's strategic plan.
You will lead and execute all phases of Peabody Development activities, including joint venture development, business planning, transaction analysis, financial modeling, due diligence, negotiations, commercial documentation, and transaction execution. This role is responsible for identifying opportunities to maximize value from Peabody's assets through a strong understanding of energy markets, emerging technologies, competitor activity, and regulatory requirements, while also managing existing commercial agreements and joint venture partnerships to support the company's strategic and operational objectives.

This position is a full-time role based at Peabody's Corporate Headquarters in Des Peres, St. Louis, Missouri. Peabody offers flexible work policies, including hybrid office/home work arrangements.
The salary range for this role is $193,000 - $253,000.
