Job Description

We currently have a career opportunity for a Director to join our team located in United States. This role is Remote but will have at least 25% travel.

As a Director at Perficient, you will play a crucial role on the leadership team of our digital consultancy practice. You will collaborate with the sales team, industry partners, and subject matter experts to deliver and expand digital solutions that transform how our clients connect with their customers and grow their business. This will involve working with cross-functional teams to drive results and financial performance. Additionally, you will foster an engaging colleague culture that inspires strong team and individual performance, in line with Perficient's People Promise.

Responsibilities

Specifics of this position may include:

  • Client Engagement & Sales Support
    • Serve as a trusted payments expert during client conversations and pursuits.
    • Work closely with sales and delivery teams to shape client proposals, presentations, and transformation roadmaps.
    • Identify and create opportunities in areas such as real-time payments, cross-border, card issuing/acquiring, embedded payments, and network innovation.
  • Industry Thought Leadership
    • Represent the firm in industry forums, panels, and publications.
    • Author insights, POVs, and market trend reports on the future of payments.
    • Track evolving regulations, standards (e.g., ISO 20022), and innovations (e.g., open banking, crypto, digital wallets).
  • Consulting Delivery Support
    • Advise clients on payments strategy, product design, modernization of legacy infrastructure, and go-to-market planning.
    • Support program delivery with subject matter input and domain guidance.
  • Solution & Offering Development
    • Collaborate with platform partners to shape payments-specific solutions and accelerators.
    • Contribute to the development of reusable IP, frameworks, and strategic toolkits.
Qualifications

  • 8–12+ years of experience in payments, preferably with time at a major card network, issuer, acquirer, or fintech.
  • Strong background in consulting or advisory, with experience leading or supporting strategic client engagements.
  • Deep understanding of key payments domains: issuing/acquiring, B2B payments, RTP, interchange economics, fraud/risk, loyalty, and tokenization.
  • Experience with payment networks is essential, particularly familiarity with payment switches as well as a strong understanding of the broader payments ecosystem, including merchants, issuers, acquirers, and acquiring banks.
  • Strong knowledge of technology implications in the payments ecosystem.
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills, especially with senior stakeholders.
  • Track record of influencing client decision-making and driving business outcomes.

The salary range for this position takes into consideration a variety of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, level of experience, applicable office location, training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The new hire salary range displays the minimum and maximum salary targets for this position across all US locations, and the range has not been adjusted for any specific state differentials. It is not typical for a candidate to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the unique facts and circumstances regarding each candidate. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range for this position is $103,584 to $209,800 . Please note that the salary range posted reflects the base salary only and does not include benefits or any potential equity or variable bonus programs.
