Job summary

Sarepta Therapeutics in the United States is seeking a Director, Patient Focused Drug Development and Innovation to lead global patient-focused strategies across its pipeline. You will design frameworks to embed patient voices from research through clinical development and ensure trials meet patient needs, with reporting to the Senior Director.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in psychology, counseling, social work, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum of 12+ years of patient advocacy experience in the healthcare/biopharma setting; rare disease experience preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills; strong presentation skills.
• Ability to build rapport with diverse stakeholders and lead cross-functional collaborations.
• Knowledge of compliance requirements for patient-facing roles and drug development processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a global patient-focused drug development strategy across multiple disease areas.
• Embed patient and caregiver insights into trial design, recruitment, retention, and plain language summaries.
• Design frameworks to move insights through the organization with traceability to decisions and outcomes.
• Collaborate with Patient Affairs, Clinical Development, and Medical Affairs to align plans with patient voice.
• Monitor metrics, advance opportunities for publication, and strengthen external engagement with patient communities.

Education
