Role Overview

We are seeking a results-driven Director, Partner Ecosystem & Programs with high energy, passion, and initiative to lead our partner engagement, ecosystem programs, and partner operations. This role is critical to expanding MongoDB’s partner-led growth strategy, optimizing partner operations, and ensuring joint success with our ecosystem.

You will lead a high-performing team, overseeing partner onboarding, management, and success across various programs and partner types. The ideal candidate has strong leadership skills, a strategic mindset, operational excellence, and a passion for impactful outcomes through partner ecosystems.

This role can be based remotely in a Central or Eastern time zone.

Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership
  • Manage, mentor, and expand a team of Partner Managers responsible for onboarding, enablement, and partner success.
Partner Management
  • Develop strategic relationships with AIP (Atlas Incentive Program) technology and reseller partners, ensuring mutual success.
  • Act as a point of escalation for partner inquiries, managing resolutions.
  • Drive partner engagement through sales and technical enablement, GTM initiatives, joint account mapping, newsletters, and engagement cadences.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Product, and Ecosystem teams to maximize partner-led success.
Ecosystem Development & Expansion
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, and Partner Solutions teams to build integrations and expand joint GTM opportunities.
  • Scale and expand the AIP to accelerate workload acquisition and revenue.
  • Identify, recruit, and enable high-potential regional partners.
  • Proactively onboard new strategic partners to open new markets.
Operational Excellence
  • Improve partner onboarding processes and self-service enablement.
  • Streamline AIP operations, automate reporting, and optimize partner funding processes.
  • Deploy new partner systems, tools, and AI enhancements.
  • Manage partner agreements and contracts, ensuring compliance and efficiency.
  • Oversee MDF distribution and utilization for maximum impact.
Qualifications
  • 7+ years in partner management, business development, or strategic alliances, preferably in SaaS, cloud, or enterprise tech.
  • MBA preferred.
  • Proven success in scaling partner programs to drive revenue and strategic outcomes.
  • Strong technical knowledge in enterprise software, cloud, AI, and open-source tech.
  • Ability to articulate complex enterprise tech value to diverse audiences.
  • Leadership experience in developing and mentoring global teams.
  • Expertise in partner onboarding, enablement, contracting, and operational management.
  • Experience in transforming partner experiences and scaling ecosystems.
  • Operational mindset with a focus on process improvement and automation.
  • Collaborative, with influence across Sales, Product, Legal, Marketing, and Operations.
  • Experience with CRM and vendor platforms like Salesforce, Workspan, etc. is preferred.
  • Data-driven with strong analytical skills.
  • Experience managing MDF and incentive programs.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • High EQ, self-awareness, and credibility-building skills.
  • Passion for growth and expertise in MongoDB’s products.
