Job summary

A+E Global Media is seeking a Director, Participations & Residuals to lead the day‑to‑day operations of the division, deliver accurate royalty payments for owned and licensed programs, and oversee MAGR calculations. You will forecast, review contracts, and provide estimates under tight deadlines while ensuring compliance with policy.

Collaborating with Legal, FP&A and Technology, you will shape future processes, drive automation, and coach the team to grow leadership and strategic thinking

Qualifications

• 10+ years of profit participations royalty accounting experience in media and entertainment.
• Extensive experience with MAGR participation calculations.
• Strong knowledge of emerging markets (FAST channels, Podcasts, OTT, AVOD/SVOD).
• Bachelor's degree, Accounting background preferred.
• Excellent analytical, verbal and written communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to decipher legal documents for financial terms.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day operations of the division to ensure timely and accurate delivery of royalty payments.
• Provide final guidance as the SME on participations and prepare accurate estimates/forecasts.
• Collaborate with Legal, FP&A, accounting and technology teams to support processes.
• Stay current with industry standards and evolving markets impacting participations.
• Ensure MAGR calculations are accurate and compliant with contract terms.
• Lead audits and drive improvements, including automation of participations processing.
