This is a remote role, and is open to candidates based in Pennsylvania, New York, or Florida, with the right to work within the United States.

We are excited to introduce the role of Director of Organic Social, the first of its kind at Darkroom. As the first employee on our Organic Social team, you will play a key role in building the foundation of our growth marketing programs. Initially, the role will focus on managing organic programs—mainly TikTok and Instagram—for consumer businesses across categories.

Successful candidates will have deep platform knowledge, contributing multiple times daily to engaging content. Candidates must actively create content, either personally or professionally, and have a proven track record of building engaged followings with high metrics like saves and shares.

You will be responsible for building brands through compelling content, storytelling, and consumer engagement.

Ongoing Responsibilities

  1. Coordinate content creation, planning, scheduling, and community management to integrate social media efforts
  2. Create and deploy 3-5 videos per brand for TikTok and Instagram Reels
  3. Develop social content strategies aligned with client brand messages and objectives
  4. Create brand analysis and audit frameworks for new clients
  5. Develop training and consulting programs for new hires and clients
  6. Establish engagement pods to boost social proof and cross-collaboration
  7. Identify opportunities to enhance strategies and define platform-specific content roles
  8. Analyze social data and optimize strategies to meet business goals
  9. Lead in thought leadership for social media development and audience retention
  10. Collaborate with internal and external teams for social support
  11. Stay updated on social trends, platforms, and competitors
  12. Leverage analytics to develop data-driven social strategies
  13. Coordinate with paid media and content marketing teams for integrated efforts

Manage client relationships through meetings and presentations, demonstrating the value of organic social media.
