Job summary

University of Southern California Libraries seeks a dynamic leader to serve as Director of the ONE Archives at USC Libraries in Los Angeles. The role guides archival, curatorial, and educational initiatives, overseeing staff, budgets, and donor engagement to advance LGBTQ+ histories and public programs.

Qualifications

• MLS from an ALA-accredited program or equivalent leadership experience in libraries/archives.
• Demonstrated fundraising success including donor engagement and grant writing.
• Experience teaching and researching with primary source materials.
• Knowledge of LGBTQ+ histories, gender studies, and diverse communities.

Responsibilities

• Lead operations and collections of ONE Archives including art and cultural objects.
• Oversee staff, budget, and day-to-day functions across archival, curatorial, and education initiatives.
• Cultivate donors and collaborate with Central Advancement for fundraising.
• Represent ONE Archives publicly through outreach, media, and partnerships.
• Develop exhibitions, programs, and digital initiatives in alignment with USC priorities.
