Job summary

Takeda is seeking a Director, Oncology R&D Strategy and Portfolio Management for our Cambridge, MA office. You will shape and execute an integrated R&D portfolio strategy across One Oncology, partnering with OTAU, ODDU, and OBU to enable timely, high-quality portfolio decisions and maximize patient impact and enterprise value.

The role leads portfolio strategy, analytics, governance, and strategic initiatives across development stages.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree (PhD/MD/PharmD/MBA) with 7–10 years pharma consulting.
• 10–15 years of experience in biopharma with R&D strategy and portfolio.
• Experience presenting to Senior Executives in R&D and business.
• Oncology experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead integrated Oncology R&D strategy and portfolio management.
• Govern governance forums and prepare decision materials for senior leadership.
• Develop quantitative and qualitative portfolio analyses and scenario planning.
• Collaborate with external partners to incorporate opportunities into strategy.
• Drive continuous improvement in portfolio processes and tools.
