Job summary

Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine is seeking a Director of Oncology External Innovation. You will identify, evaluate, and execute external opportunities to expand the drug discovery pipeline in oncology, partnering with internal teams and external partners to accelerate progress.

The role requires deep experience in oncology, licensing, and strategic collaboration, with remote work consideration on a case-by-case basis and a global network across Janssen entities.

Qualifications

• PhD or MD/MBA with PhD is highly preferred.
• 15+ years in pharmaceutical/biotech with oncology focus.
• Experience in oncology drug discovery, licensing, and deals.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional due diligence for in-licensing and collaborations.
• Develop partnering strategies aligned with Oncology TA and INTO goals.
• Manage external innovation opportunities across biotech and academia.
• Drive interaction with internal Janssen teams and external partners.
• Oversee planning of MOA projects and external platforms.
