Job summary

Baptist Health La Grange is seeking an experienced EMS Director to lead and manage emergency medical services for the Oldham County division. The role plans, coordinates, and evaluates EMS operations, sets goals and policies, and guides strategic direction while ensuring safe, high-quality patient care.

The Director oversees budgets, reports to the Board, tracks EMS trends and technologies, and serves as a public information resource and Incident Commander for large-scale events.

Qualifications

• 3+ years EMS leadership experience in a management/director role.
• Kentucky Paramedic Certification required.
• BLS HCP, EPC, ACLS, NALS required or will be within 6 months of hire.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership and management of EMS for the Oldham County division.
• Develop and monitor budgets, prepare operational reports for Board meetings.
• Establish departmental goals, policies, performance standards, and strategic direction.
• Represent Baptist Health La Grange publicly and act as Incident Commander during major events.

This position plans, develops, coordinates, monitors, and evaluates EMS operations while establishing departmental goals, policies, performance standards, and strategic direction. The EMS Director oversees departmental budgets, prepares operational reports for Board meetings, evaluates emerging EMS trends and technology, and ensures the delivery of safe, efficient, high-quality patient care. The Director also serves as a public information resource for EMS, represents Baptist Health La Grange within the community, and serves as Incident Commander during large-scale or high-acuity events requiring supervisory leadership.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in business or related field.
• Master's degree preferred.
• A minimum of three years EMS leadership experience in a management operations or director level EMS role.
• Kentucky Paramedic Certification required.
• BLS HCP, EPC, ACLS, NALS required/will be required within 6 months of hire.
• A valid driver's license is required.
