The Archdiocese of Chicago is seeking a Director of Youth Ministry to lead the youth ministry program at Old St. Patrick’s Church. This role focuses on engaging high school-aged teens through discipleship, service trips, and activities that promote faith and social justice. The ideal candidate is a committed Roman Catholic with excellent communication skills and creativity in ministry. The position offers a competitive salary in the range of $50,000 - $55,000 along with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• A practicing Roman Catholic with knowledge of the Catholic faith.
• Ability to hold the attention of a room of teens.
• Flexibility in scheduling and willingness to travel with teens.

Responsibilities

• Plan and evaluate bimonthly youth ministry programs.
• Lead annual Summer Worktour service trips.
• Train and lead a team of young adult volunteers.

Education

Bachelor’s degree

Experience in education or youth ministry

Master’s degree in theology or related field
