Director of Youth and Children Ministries - Hickory NC

First United Methodist Church, Hickory is seeking a dynamic, caring,
missional minded, and highly motivated
Director of Youth and Children
Ministries
to lead and continue to grow the already vibrant ministry for the
young people in an active church and community. The purpose is to create
relationships and enthusiasm so that meaningful discussion, discipleship
growth, and ministry engagement can happen. Organization and enthusiasm
to connect and lead youth and children is essential. The new Director is
expected to organize and attend youth and children events at the church,
retreats, missions trips and projects, and fundraisers. They should also be
able to communicate effectively other staff, youth and families. Applicants
should desire to be part of a team who’s mission is “Rooted in Christ, Growing
in Grace, and Reaching out to All.”

Educational, Background & Experience Requirements:
Professing Christian;
Bachelor’s degree preferred; degree in Youth/Student Ministry or related field
preferred;
Experience and understanding of United Methodism preferred.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
Salary: $50,000
Benefits: Health insurance, paid time off, after 6-months of employment,
supplemental insurance opportunities available.
