Job summary

The Director of Wellness & Health Coaching provides leadership for population health and well-being operations, including strategic planning, clinical and lifestyle behavior change program development, staff leadership, and performance management.

The role is responsible for advancing OSU Health Plan priorities through data-driven, evidence-based initiatives that improve health outcomes, engagement, and value.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7-year experience in disease care management, health care business management and wellness operation including wellness education.
• Management experience required; able to lead operations to national clinical standards.
• Proficient in data use for process improvement and performance management.
• Lean operation improvement experience; health plan/insurance knowledge preferred.
• Strong communication, presentation, and Microsoft Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for strategy, operations, and fiscal oversight of Wellness and Health Coaching Services.
• Collaborate with OSU Health Plan and internal partners to advance population health strategies.
• Identify population health needs, develop targeted interventions, and measure outcomes.
• Lead data-driven, evidence-based initiatives and promote innovation in care delivery.
• Manage staff and budget, ensuring high reliability and program sustainability.
