Job summary

Wurth Industry North America is seeking a Director of Warehouse Operations to lead daily warehouse activities and coordinate across manufacturing, purchasing, and sales. The role requires strategic oversight to improve processes, ensure safety, and meet financial objectives.

The director will guide budgeting, performance evaluations, and staff development while maintaining high quality standards across the operation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, operations management or related field.
• Master's degree preferred.
• 10+ years in a senior management role, preferably in operations.
• Strong analytical, decision‑making, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Thorough understanding of practices, theories, and policies involved in business and finance.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Superior managerial and diplomacy skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Experience with supply chain solutions and inventory management.

Responsibilities

• Establishes quantitative and qualitative metrics, guidelines, and standards by which efficiency and effectiveness can be evaluated; identifies opportunities for improvement.
• Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates business procedures.
• Implements policies and procedures that will improve day‑to‑day operations.
• Ensures work environments are adequate and safe.
• Oversees manufacturing, purchasing, and sales departments, ensuring each is reaching goals set by leadership.
• Plans, directs, controls, budgets, and forecasts to achieve financial objectives.
• Communicates and explains new directives or procedures to managers; informs staff during major changes to maintain morale.
• Improves customer service and satisfaction through policy and procedural changes.
• Leads coordination among operations, engineering, technology, and customer service for smoother workflow and cost efficiency.
• Participates in hiring and training of departmental managers.
• Organizes and oversees the work and schedules of departmental managers.
• Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
• Handles discipline and termination of employees as needed.
• All other duties as assigned.

The Director of Warehouse Operations plays a crucial role in streamlining operations, maximizing productivity, and maintaining high‑quality standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Establishes quantitative and qualitative metrics, guidelines, and standards by which the company's efficiency and effectiveness can be evaluated; identifies opportunities for improvement.
• Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates business procedures.
• Implements policies and procedures that will improve day‑to‑day operations.

• Leads coordination and integration of efforts among operations, engineering, technology, and customer service divisions to produce smoother workflow and more cost‑effective business processes.
• Projects a positive image of the organization to employees, customers, industry, and community.
• Participates in the hiring and training of departmental managers.
• Organizes and oversees the work and schedules of departmental managers.
• Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
• Handles discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy.

EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, operations management or a related field. Masters degree preferred.
• 10 years + experience in a senior management role, preferable in operation s or a related field.
