NFI Industries in Olive Branch, MS seeks a Director of Warehouse Operations to coordinate regional administrative functions, enforce policy, plan headcount and mentor staff. This role reports to the Regional Vice President and ensures compliance with FDA-regulated healthcare industry standards.

The position requires extensive experience in warehouse and distribution management within medical devices, strong leadership, and proficiency with WMS, Kronos, and lean Six Sigma programs.

Formación

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field; professional certifications preferred.
  • 10+ years in warehouse/distribution/logistics with 5+ years in medical device or regulated healthcare.
  • Experience managing large-scale warehouse networks and 3PLs.
  • Proven ability to measure against internal standards and safety programs.
  • Working knowledge of FDA regulations (QMSR/21 CFR Part 820) and ISO 13485.

Overview

The Director of Warehouse Operations coordinates all regional administrative functions and enforces corporate policy, procedures and operating systems for Regional Operations Management staff. Responsible for production standards for teams, plan headcount needs based on labor cost and budget management, and staff and mentor management positions. Advises Regional Vice-President of concerns and issues and advises of solutions. Ensures warehouse and distribution operations maintain compliance with applicable healthcare and medical device industry regulations, quality standards, and product traceability requirements. This position reports to the Regional Vice President.

Required Industry Experience: Candidates must have prior experience managing warehouse or distribution operations within the medical device industry, including working in an FDA-regulated environment.

Responsibilities
Operations Management
  • Creates production standards for teams, plan headcount needs based on labor cost and budget management.
  • Will work collaboratively with internal leadership and team members throughout the Company.
  • Plans the implementation and support of warehouse and office operating systems, ensuring processes support order fulfillment, inventory control, product traceability, and applicable quality management requirements.
  • Oversees physical inventory, reconciliation, inventory status controls, and product traceability to ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable regulatory and quality requirements.
  • Will interact with customers of key accounts.
  • Occasional duties will include sales calls when administration of the account is an issue at the discretion of the Regional Vice President.
  • Develops and coordinates special events within the region.
  • Travels to other warehouses and participates in department or company meetings, as necessary.
Financials Management
  • Responsible for budget and review of regional monthly aging and various reports.
  • Reviews of regional accounts receivables.
  • Work with the engineering team to develop a pricing model for new clients.
  • Maintenance of lease and customer files at the regional level.
Employee Relations/Development
  • Responsible for the management of all warehouse operations and staff in the region.
  • Ensure continued training and cross training of all personnel within the region.
  • Will recruit, hire and mentor management positions.
  • Provides regular coaching and feedback on performance, prepares and presents formal performance appraisals and makes recommendations and approves annual compensation increases.
  • Manages and maintains good human resources practices with direct reports, and adherence to established corporate and department policies and procedures
  • Works with Human Resources to resolve employee relation issues, discipline actions, problem resolution and terminations.
  • Provides feedback, coaching, guidance, and recognition to enhance other’s skill development.
  • Plays an active role in employee development and talent selection.
  • Acts as a role model for the department in support of corporate purpose, vision, and values.
  • Exhibits a commitment to self-development by staying current on industry trends, tools, and systems.
Safety and Security Management
  • Conducts facility audits, supports regulatory inspection and audit readiness, and oversees training related to safety, quality management systems, and applicable healthcare industry compliance requirements.
  • Work with corporate and local vendors to acquire and maintain all material handling equipment, storage, conveyors and related assets.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations, Business, Engineering, or a related field. APICS/ASCM (CPIM, CSCP, CLTD), ASQ (CQA, CQE, CMQ/OE), or ISO 13485 Auditor certification strongly preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive warehouse, distribution, logistics, or supply chain management experience, including 5+ years within the medical device, pharmaceutical, diagnostics, or similarly regulated healthcare industry.
  • At least 5 years of experience managing logistics and supply chain distribution networks, exempt employees, and large-scale warehouse operations, including inventory control, order fulfillment, and third-party logistics (3PL) management.
  • Proven ability to measure and perform against internal expectations, industry standards, WMS systems, equipment, and safety related programs.
  • Computer applications using MS office specifically access, excel and Power Point, internet search engine capabilities, T-Logic and warehouse operating systems,
  • At least 5 years working in KRONOS systems.
  • Very strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Experience with design and layout of distribution facilities and best-in-class operations.
  • Performed and or led continuous improvement projects in the area of Lean and/or Six Sigma.
  • Working knowledge in a cross dock, pick n pack, kitting and sales environment preferred.
  • Working knowledge of applicable OSHA, DOT, HAZMAT, and FDA regulations, including FDA QMSR/21 CFR Part 820, ISO 13485, product traceability, nonconforming product controls, CAPA, change control, labeling, recalls, and audit readiness.
  • Working knowledge of warehouse / mechanical equipment.
  • Must be able to work in varying facility conditions.
  • Ability and availability to work irregular or extended hours including nights, weekends and holidays as needed.
  • Must be on-call for alarm systems or problems during off work hours.
  • Ability and availability to work irregular or extended hours including nights, weekends and holidays as needed by the customer.
  • Must be able to stand/walk for up to 10-12 hours.
  • Lift and move totes up to 50 pounds.
  • Regular bending, lifting, stretching and reaching both below the waist and above the head.
  • Walking in the distribution center and around the area with great frequency; facilities are over a quarter mile in length.
  • Should be able to work in environments with variable noise levels, lighting conditions and temperature variation and able to access all areas of building without limitations.
