Job summary

NYC Health + Hospitals Lincoln Medical Center in The Bronx seeks a Volunteer Services Manager to direct and coordinate the hospital's volunteer operations. You will develop procedures, recruit volunteers, and ensure alignment with the center’s mission and patient-centered care.

The role requires a Bachelor’s Degree and at least two years in a supervisory capacity within health-care volunteer programs, plus strong communication and technical skills with databases and office software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Public Administration, Public Health, Health Care Specialization, Hospitality Management, Psychology or related discipline.
• 2 years of managerial or supervisory experience developing, implementing, and evaluating volunteer programs in health care or related setting; strong interpersonal and leadership skills; proficiency with technology.

Responsibilities

• Develops operating procedures and guidelines for volunteer services to meet objectives.
• Identifies, interviews, selects and assigns volunteers to approved departments; onboarding and background checks.
• Develops formal orientation for volunteers aligned with organization mission and operations.
• Sets performance standards, schedules, and conducts evaluations of volunteer staff.
• Maintains volunteer hours tracking and prepares period summaries for volunteers.
