YouVersion’s Director of Visual Content at Life.Church leads the creative vision for video, photography, and motion design across YouVersion. You will shape the visual identity, oversee the Visual Content Team, and partner crossfunctionally to deliver high-quality storytelling that engages a global audience.

The role requires senior leadership, strong on-set direction, and a passion for ministry and technology.

Qualifications

• Advanced craft mastery across cinematography, directing, and visual storytelling.
• Strong ability to lead on-set environments and give clear creative direction.
• Strong editorial judgment and ability to shape narrative structure and pacing.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high-performing visual creative team, fostering growth and collaboration.
• Steward the craft standard for cinematography, photography, and motion design to reflect the creative vision.
• Build a healthy team culture aligned with Life.Church values and excellence.
• Champion innovation by adopting new technologies and storytelling approaches.
• Partner with Production to recruit and direct contracted crews supporting high-quality visual storytelling.
• Shape visual direction and reusable systems to scale quality with clarity.
• Coach teams through creative reviews with clear, actionable feedback.
• Lead cinematography, photography, and motion direction for major campaigns and ministry moments.
• Collaborate with leadership to ensure visuals reflect established identity and initiatives.
