Job summary

The City of New York's Mayor's Office for International Affairs seeks a Director for Visiting Delegations to coordinate engagements with international delegations visiting NYC agencies, promote learning, and advance city diplomacy.

You will serve as senior liaison for a geographic region, build and sustain partnerships with foreign governments, consulates, and global city networks, and help deliver policy exchange and collaborative outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 5+ years in international affairs, diplomacy, or related fields.
• Experience managing high-level international delegations or major events.
• Ability to coordinate across government agencies, foreign governments, and external partners.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate vetting and logistics for incoming international delegations.
• Design exchanges between delegations and City agencies to share best practices.
• Collaborate with IA staff, City Hall, consulates, and partners to execute visits.
• Maintain leadership relationships with foreign governments and diplomatic representatives.
