Global Director of Treasury

Location: Remote - Must be in EST or CST

Department: Finance

Reports to: CFO

Position Summary

My client is hiring an experienced and strategic Global Director of Treasurer to lead all aspects of treasury operations for our international business. This executive will oversee global cash management, liquidity planning, capital markets, foreign exchange risk, debt management, and treasury technology. The ideal candidate will bring deep experience in multinational environments and a strong track record of building scalable treasury functions that support growth, optimize capital structure, and mitigate financial risk.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily global cash positioning, forecasting, and liquidity planning across all regions and entities.
• Implement and manage global cash pooling structures, in-house bank, and intercompany funding strategies.
• Enhance cash visibility and drive improvements in cash conversion cycle.
• Lead capital structure analysis and recommend strategies to optimize cost of capital.
• Manage relationships with credit rating agencies, investors, and banking partners.
• Evaluate and execute debt financings, refinancing, share buybacks, or equity transactions.
• Develop and execute global FX and interest rate risk management strategies.
• Monitor exposure and ensure compliance with corporate risk management policies.
• Oversee hedge accounting and financial reporting compliance under GAAP/IFRS.
• Drive treasury technology strategy including implementation and optimization.
• Automate and standardize treasury processes to improve efficiency and control.
• Lead RFPs and bank/vendor selection for payments, investments, and treasury services.
• Ensure strong internal controls, compliance, and treasury policy governance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners (Accounting, FP&A, Legal, Tax, AP/AR, Procurement, M&A).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or CFA/CTP preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive treasury experience, including leadership of global treasury teams.
• Expertise in capital markets, cash management, FX, and banking infrastructure.
• Strong working knowledge of treasury systems
• Proven ability to lead transformation and scale treasury functions in a fast-paced, global environment.
• Excellent stakeholder management, executive communication, and analytical skills.
