Qualifications

• Board‑certified or eligible by the American Board of Surgery with added qualifications in Surgical Critical Care.
• Fellowship trained in Trauma and Surgical Critical Care.
• At least 7 years of relevant clinical and leadership experience.

Salary range: $600,000 to $830,000 per year. Compensation will depend on background, skills, and experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and clinical leadership to establish a comprehensive Acute Care Surgery program.
• Oversee development and implementation of Emergency General Surgery and Emergency Trauma Response systems.
• Deliver direct patient care in trauma, surgical critical care, and emergency general surgery.
• Lead and mentor residents and medical students in collaboration with Rutgers University School of Medicine.
• Support ongoing research efforts in trauma and surgical critical care.
• Collaborate with hospital and system leadership to advance programmatic goals.

Candidate Requirements

• Board‑certified or eligible by the American Board of Surgery with added qualifications in Surgical Critical Care.
• Fellowship trained in Trauma and Surgical Critical Care.
