Kintec Search is partnering with a well-established power delivery engineering organization to appoint a Director of Transmission Line Engineering. The role will own a growing team of 20+ engineers while delivering high-impact transmission projects.

The director will work closely with senior leadership, enjoy autonomy, and influence both technical outcomes and business strategy, including exposure to commercial aspects of projects.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of Transmission Line Engineering experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.

We are partnering with a well-established power delivery engineering organization to identify a Director of Transmission Line Engineering who will take ownership of a growing transmission engineering team.

This is a high-impact leadership opportunity for an experienced transmission line engineer who wants real autonomy, responsibility for a 20+ person engineering team, and a clear path toward executive leadership.

The Opportunity

As Director of Transmission Line Engineering, you will lead the execution and delivery of transmission line engineering projects while overseeing and developing a team of 20+ engineers.

You will work directly alongside senior executive leadership and have significant autonomy over the engineering organization. While prior P&L ownership is not required, you will also gain exposure to the commercial and financial side of the business as part of your continued development.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of 20+ transmission line engineers
• Oversee transmission line projects from planning through execution and delivery
• Provide technical and operational leadership across the engineering group
• Manage project quality, schedules, resources and engineering deliverables
• Develop engineering managers and technical staff within the organization
• Work closely with clients and internal leadership to ensure successful project execution
• Help drive continuous improvement across the transmission engineering organization
• Partner directly with executive leadership on strategic and commercial initiatives

Qualifications

• 12+ years of Transmission Line Engineering experience
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required
• Previous engineering management or supervisory experience
• Demonstrated experience leading transmission line projects and engineering teams
• Strong understanding of transmission line design and project execution
• Ability to lead teams while maintaining a strong technical understanding of the work
• Strong communication and client-facing capabilities
