Job summary

City of Miami Beach seeks an experienced leader for Tourism and Cultural Development to oversee, coordinate and execute citywide events and cultural programming that elevate the Miami Beach brand and drive economic activity.

The role leads a portfolio of signature events, art initiatives, and public programming with extensive cross-department collaboration and external partnerships, ensuring compliance and strategic alignment with city priorities and community engagement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Public Administration or related to the occupational field.
• 10 years' experience in government or in the hospitality or cultural industry, with specific experience in tourism, special events and the arts.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the creation, implementation and periodic review of the Cultural Master Plan.
• Oversee the issuance of City of Miami Beach Special Events Permits and related documentation to ensure compliance with regulations.
• Develop alliances with key business sectors- Arts, Hospitality, International Business, Culture, Entertainment and Tourism.
