Job summary

Vertiv Group Corporation is seeking a Director of Test Engineering to define, govern, and coordinate its enterprise test strategy across product development, validation, manufacturing, and certification.

You will lead DVT, test automation, and certification activities, coordinating with global teams and external agencies to ensure consistent test standards and robust product quality throughout the lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Systems Engineering required.
• 12+ years in product development and engineering test environments.
• Proven leadership in DVT, test automation, product validation, and manufacturing test (DFT/EOL).
• Experience with certification agencies and compliance testing.
• Ability to lead cross-functional, globally distributed teams without direct line authority.
• Strong systems-level engineering mindset; ability to set standards and drive adoption at scale.
• Excellent English communication and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Define and govern enterprise-wide test strategy across development, validation, manufacturing, and certification.
• Own DVT governance, scope, readiness criteria, and exit criteria.
• Direct the Core Engineering Test Automation team and roadmap.
• Coordinate manufacturing test with DFx, EOL, and factory acceptance testing.
• Maintain relationships with external certification agencies and test houses.
• Establish KPIs for test effectiveness, cycle time, and automation maturity.
