Base pay range

$220,000.00/yr - $270,000.00/yr

A recognized banking services company in New York is actively seeking an experienced professional to join their growing team as their new Director of Technology Resilience & Service Continuity Lead. In this role, the qualified professional will be responsible for overseeing a comprehensive program that ensures technology services remain available, resilient, and recoverable.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain a Technology Resilience Strategy aligned with regulatory expectations and industry frameworks
  • Define and refine Tech Resilience and Service Continuity Policies, Frameworks, and Standards across the organization
  • Coordinate with Business Continuity Management on the planning, execution, and continuous improvement of Disaster Recovery (DR) Testing and IT Continuity programs
  • Partner with infrastructure, application, and business teams to ensure DR plans are effective, up-to-date, and tested regularly
  • Support Business Impact Analysis (BIA) reviews and risk assessments to identify resilience gaps in Tier 1, 2, and 3 applications
  • Oversee the company's Data Center Strategy, including Data Environment and Physical Access Control
  • Provide executive sponsorship and support to the Technology Service Resilience program in the form of funding and resources, and ensure the program's alignment with Business resilience strategies and objectives
  • Measure the technology resiliency requirements, management processes, and develop plans for corrective actions
  • Coordinate senior management reporting and committee presentations
  • Work with the Technology Governance and Controls team as well as a second line of defense to define relevant KRI/KPIs to measure program health
  • Provide ongoing visibility to program status (key decisions, dependencies, issues, risks, metrics, etc.) to all stakeholders
  • Anticipate and remove obstacles that hinder program teams from delivering outcomes

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in business continuity, crisis/emergency management, project management within financial services or related roles
  • Bachelor's Degree in Technology and/or Business-related field
  • Knowledge of US regulatory requirements for resiliency (FFIEC, OCC, Federal Reserve)
  • Experience in building and maturing resiliency programs from scratch
  • Understanding of IT environments, including architecture, engineering, service design, operations, disaster recovery, and application architecture
  • Strong leadership, business acumen, and team management skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
