Role Overview

We are seeking a strategic and execution-driven Director of Technical Services to found and build our Technical Account Management (TAM) division. This is a Foundational Leadership Role responsible for designing and documenting all operational frameworks, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and processes related to client and partner onboarding and technical integrations.

Initially operating as a team of one, this individual will own the entire lifecycle of technical onboarding and platform integrations while laying the groundwork to scale the division through automation, technology, and onshore/offshore resources. This is a rare opportunity to shape a new function in a fast-growing, data-driven marketing technology company.

Key Responsibilities

Division Strategy & Leadership

  • Design and implement the foundational strategy for the TAM division, including charter, workflows, and KPIs.

  • Create SOPs, documentation templates, and onboarding materials to support scalable growth.

  • As needed, build a hiring roadmap and lead recruitment and training of Technical Account Managers (FTE and offshore).

  • Act as the executive escalation point for complex partner or client technical issues.

Client & Partner Integrations

  • Lead all technical onboarding efforts for clients and partners, serving as the primary point of contact for integrations and possessing a deep understanding of the nuances of core partnerships.

  • Develop technical plans for tracking and attribution implementation across platforms (e.g., Shopify, Everflow, Impact, Invoca, Intels CRM).

  • Ensure clean, accurate data flow between systems and platforms using webhooks, pixels, and API integrations.

  • Own cross-system troubleshooting, event reconciliation, and deduplication strategies.

Platform Oversight

  • Serve as the internal SME for integration platforms including Everflow, Impact, Invoca, Shopify, Google Analytics, GTM, and Intelsios proprietary CRM.

  • Manage and validate tracking configurations, custom events, and webhook implementations.

  • Coordinate cross-platform reconciliation (e.g., Invoca Everflow, Impact Everflow) and campaign-level diagnostics.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Interface with Business Intelligence and Engineering teams to ensure data pipelines and reporting (e.g., Redshift Tableau) reflect accurate campaign data.

  • Partner with Sales, Operations, Partner, and Media teams to provide technical leadership during onboarding and performance optimization phases.

  • Maintain a prioritized backlog in Jira, managing OB (onboarding), support, and tracking-related tickets.

R&D & Automation

  • Identify opportunities to streamline manual technical workflows through automation and tooling.

  • Support evaluation of new marketing, analytics, or integration platforms aligned with business growth.

  • Maintain centralized documentation for internal and external use (via Confluence or similar).

Requirements

Experience & Skills

  • 7+ years in a client-facing technical role (TAM, Solutions Architect, Ad Ops, or MarTech)

  • 2+ years of leadership or team-building experience, ideally in a startup or growth-stage environment

  • Expert-level proficiency in:

    • Google Tag Manager, event tracking, and pixel-based attribution

    • Affiliate/partner marketing platforms (Everflow, Impact)

    • Customer behavior tracking (Shopify, GA, GTM)

  • Proficient in:

    • API/webhook integrations and debugging

    • Redshift, Tableau, or equivalent BI/data warehouse tools

    • Jira, Slack, Confluence

Traits

  • Highly organized with strong documentation habits

  • Strategic thinker with a hands-on execution mindset

  • Clear, persuasive communicator comfortable working across departments

  • Passion for building teams and operational frameworks from scratch

Qualifications

  • Experience managing or coordinating offshore technical teams

  • Familiarity with digital performance marketing and attribution models

  • Background in SaaS, eCommerce, or MarTech environments
