Job summary

Zendesk, Inc. in Austin, TX is seeking a Senior Technical Architect - Americas to lead and grow the Technical Architecture team within Professional Services. You will design, configure, integrate, and adopt scalable Zendesk solutions across enterprise engagements.

You will mentor engineers, partner with Sales, Product, and customers to define scope, assess effort, and drive value-driven delivery while championing responsible AI practices and ensuring governance and quality across projects.

Qualifications

8+ years of professional experience in Technical Architecture or related enterprise SaaS role.
3+ years of people management leading architecture/consulting teams in B2B SaaS or enterprise tech.
Experience designing and delivering complex customer-facing SaaS implementations and platforms.
Understanding of product-led delivery and repeatable solution patterns.
Strong analytical, project management, and stakeholder communication skills.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Business, or related field.

Responsibilities

Lead and develop Americas Technical Architecture team with hiring and coaching.
Define scope, assess effort, risks, and align delivery with customer outcomes and value.
Improve planning, forecasting, resourcing, risk management, and delivery health.
Drive cross-functional alignment across internal teams and customers.
Partner with Product to provide roadmap feedback and expand capabilities.
Advance AI adoption and reusable patterns across the organization.
Establish consistency in discovery, design, governance, and quality.
