Job summary

Quality Technology Services, LLC is seeking a Director, Technical Accounting to lead technical accounting research, policy development, and disclosures, partnering with senior leaders and external auditors to ensure GAAP compliance and accurate financial reporting.

The role requires deep accounting expertise, strong leadership, and the ability to manage cross-functional projects in a fast-growing organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• CPA license.
• 5+ years of supervisory experience.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial statement presentation.
• Experience partnering with external auditors to resolve accounting and financial reporting matters.

Responsibilities

• Support technical accounting research and document the company’s position on complex corporate transactions.
• Establish, update, and maintain accounting policies to ensure consistency and compliance across the entire enterprise.
• Serve as a technical advisor to executive leadership and cross-functional teams, translating accounting or disclosure regulations into clear, actionable business guidance.
• Partner with financial reporting teams to evaluate disclosure requirements, draft and review disclosure verbiage, and support the accuracy and completeness of consolidated financial statements and related disclosures.
• Coordinate with external auditors, acting as a point of contact to resolve audit matters efficiently.
• Provide strategic leadership, fostering professional growth and scaling capabilities to support company expansion.
• Lead and nurture a work culture with a positive attitude that promotes open, frequent and dynamic communication among staff, stimulating teamwork to accomplish desired goals and objectives.
• Collaborate with other departments in accomplishing strategic objectives.
