Job summary

AccruePartners is seeking a seasoned technical accounting leader to guide complex accounting and reporting under US GAAP. You will serve as a trusted advisor to leadership across finance, operations, and legal.

This role oversees acquisitions, asset purchases, divestitures, segment reporting, and revenue recognition, while building robust internal controls and scalable reporting processes.

Qualifications

• Active CPA license required.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Big Four or national public accounting firm experience.
• Public company accounting and financial reporting experience.
• Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SEC reporting, and technical accounting research.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the Company’s technical accounting leader on complex accounting and reporting matters.
• Lead the evaluation, documentation, and implementation of accounting conclusions under U.S. GAAP.
• Oversee accounting for acquisitions, asset purchases, divestitures, and other strategic transactions.
• Provide oversight for segment reporting, goodwill and intangible asset accounting, impairment analyses, lease accounting, and revenue recognition.
• Partner with Corporate Development, Finance, Tax, Legal, Operations, and IT throughout the acquisition lifecycle.
• Establish and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to support growth.
• Lead technical accounting assessments and review position papers and accounting memoranda.
• Serve as the primary liaison with external auditors, valuation specialists, and advisors.
• Oversee accounting integration activities, ERP implementations, system conversions, and reporting standardization.
• Drive process improvements, automation initiatives, and scalable reporting solutions.
• Build, develop, and mentor a high-performing technical accounting team.
• Support executive leadership with analysis and recommendations on strategic transactions and complex accounting matters.
