Job summary

Boston-based financial management services client is seeking its first SVP, Director of Tax to act as the lead tax advisor. The role will report to the CFO and oversee a single direct report while building a complete tax function and team.

Qualified candidates will have 10+ years in progressive tax roles, with experience in investment management, partnership taxation, and corporate tax strategy within asset management.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10+ years of progressive tax experience in asset management, partnerships, and corporate tax strategy.
• Deep knowledge of partnership taxation, fund taxation, executive tax planning, transfer pricing, and investment management structures.

Responsibilities

• Lead tax advisor for the firm and manage the tax function end-to-end.
• Build out the tax team and establish processes, governance, and strategy.
• Partner with CFO and senior leadership to optimize tax planning and compliance.

My Boston-based financial management services client is hiring its first ever SVP, Director of Tax. Reporting directly to the CFO and managing 1 direct report, this will be the firm's lead tax advisor and have the opportunity to build out an entire function and team.

Qualified applicants must have the following:

• Minimum 10+ years of progressive tax experience, including investment management, partnership taxation, and corporate tax strategy.
• Experience in the asset management space
• Deep knowledge of partnership taxation, fund taxation, executive tax planning, transfer pricing, and investment management structures.

This position reports into Boston proper 3x per week

Compensation is up to $375K total ($250K base + 50% bonus)
