Lilly Immunology is seeking a Director/Senior Director for New Target Validation within Discovery Immunology to guide strategy and translational readiness for projects. The role requires leading target identification through mechanistic validation and partnering across internal functions and external collaborators.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Molecular Genetics and Immunology required.
• 8–10 years of drug development experience.
• Experience with asthma, atopic dermatitis, rheumatologic diseases preferred.
• Ability to lead through influence in a matrixed organization.
• Strong communication and data-driven decision making.

Responsabilités

• Define and lead end-to-end strategy for new target validation, including genetic perturbation and translational model design.
• Drive innovation with novel human systems for target validation (Organs-on-chip, IPSC, ex vivo models).
• Integrate multimodal profiling from internal and external partners to strengthen disease relevance.
• Communicate workplans to drive scientific decision-making across cross-functional teams.
• Train discovery biologists in molecular biology designs and functional assays.
• Guide cross-functional project teams through the organization.
