Job summary

Sygaldry is seeking a Director of Talent to build world-class teams at the intersection of quantum computing and AI. You will own full-cycle recruiting for highly specialized technical roles and partner with senior leaders to define hiring strategies and close top candidates.

You will engage hard-to-reach talent, develop strategic sourcing programs, and manage end-to-end processes from outreach to offer. Location flexibility includes remote work with a headquarters in Ann Arbor, MI.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience with emphasis on technical sourcing and closing.
• Proven success recruiting highly specialized technical talent in quantum computing, AI, machine learning, advanced hardware, or related deep-tech industries.
• Proven ability to identify and engage passive candidates in highly competitive markets.
• Strong track record closing senior-level, hard-to-fill technical positions.
• Experience partnering with senior technical leaders, researchers, and hiring managers.
• Excellent communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills.
• Resourceful, proactive, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience recruiting AI researchers, quantum physicists, researchers, or specialized systems engineers.
• Established networks within AI research, quantum computing, or frontier tech communities.

Responsibilities

• Own full-cycle recruiting for highly specialized technical roles across quantum computing, AI research, and engineering.
• Proactively identify, source, and engage passive candidates through creative sourcing strategies and industry networks.
• Develop and execute recruiting strategies to attract top talent from leading AI companies, research institutions, quantum computing organizations, and startups.
• Build strong candidate relationships and communicate Sygaldry's mission to close candidates in competitive markets.
• Partner with hiring managers and technical leadership to define candidate profiles and search strategies.
• Manage candidates through screening, interview coordination, offer development, negotiation, and closing.
• Build and maintain talent pipelines for current and future hiring needs.
• Provide market intelligence on talent availability and compensation trends.
• Continuously improve recruiting processes and candidate experience.
