Director of Talent Development
Waystone Health and Human Services is seeking a Director of Talent Development. As our Director of Talent Development you will play a key strategic role in building and leading programs that strengthen leadership at all levels, foster employee growth, and create a culture of continuous learning. Reporting to the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), this role partners closely with executives and department leaders to design and deliver innovative learning solutions, succession planning strategies, and career development pathways that support our mission and core values.

Schedule: Monday – Friday 8:30am –4:30pm
Compensation range: This is a 40-hour exempt full time position. Starting salary is $110,000 - $130,000, based on experience, qualifications, and internal equity.

Key Job Responsibilities:
Design and implement a comprehensive learning and development strategy aligned with Waystone’s mission and long-term goals.
Conduct training needs assessments (TNA) to identify skill gaps and development opportunities across diverse roles (direct support, clinical, administrative, leadership).
Develop and facilitate engaging learning experiences (in-person, virtual, blended, micro-learning) that build role-specific and leadership capabilities.
Select, implement and optimize learning systems (LMS, knowledge-sharing tools) to improve accessibility and scalability of trainings.
Build and manage frameworks for succession planning and career pathways that support organizational sustainability.
Define and track metrics and dashboards to measure program effectiveness, employee engagement, and ROI on learning investments.
Other Responsibilities:
Embed organizational values and DEI priorities into all development programs.
Consult and advise executives and managers on team development, culture shaping and change readiness.
Lead leadership and talent development initiatives, including emerging leader programs and manager capability initiatives.
Support employee engagement initiatives that promote collaboration and a culture of continuous learning.
Evaluate external training vendors, programs, and technologies to enhance internal resources.
Qualifications:
Master’s in Organizational Development, HR, Education or related field; Bachelor’s degree required.
7+ years of progressive experience in learning & development, talent management, or organizational development.
Strong instructional design and facilitation expertise, with fluency in adult learning principles and digital/blended learning.
Demonstrated ability to use data and metrics to assess learning needs and measure impact.
Organized, detail-oriented, and able to thrive independently in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
Proven ability to influence and build relationships with internal leaders and external partners (educational institutions, vendors, professional associations, and community organizations).
Experience with learning management systems and digital learning platforms
