Job summary

Florida Medical Clinic Orlando Health Wiregrass Ranch Hospital in Wesley Chapel, FL seeks a Director of Surgical Services to oversee the inpatient 24/7 nursing unit and department operations. Qualifications

• BSN required.
• MSN or DNP or MBA/Graduate degree in health or business preferred.
• Current Florida RN licensure or Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• ACLS/PALS/NALS/TNCC certifications may be required depending on patient population.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the inpatient 24/7 nursing unit/department.
• Allocate resources and coordinate services to optimize patient care.
• Provide leadership for quality, safety, and service initiatives within the unit/department.
• Manage recruitment, retention, supervision, evaluation and productivity of staff.
• Assist in developing and monitoring operating and capital budgets to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, JCAHO, infection control and risk management standards.
