Job description

About The Opportunity

At SRC, supply chain is not a back-office function. It's a business driver.

About The Opportunity

At SRC, supply chain is not a back-office function. It's a business driver.

We are seeking experienced, results-driven Director of Supply Chain professionals for opportunities across the SRC Family of Companies. These opportunities are ideal for leaders who combine proven strategic sourcing and procurement expertise with the ability to develop suppliers, optimize inventory, improve operational performance, and build effective supply chain processes.

We are looking for leaders who can think strategically, lead teams, build strong supplier partnerships, and deliver measurable business results. In this role, you will be a business-minded leader who understands how sourcing, inventory, supplier relationships, and operational decisions impact performance within the business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Sourcing & Procurement: Develop and execute sourcing strategies that improve cost competitiveness, supplier performance, quality, and supply continuity.
  • Supplier Management & Development: Identify, evaluate, negotiate with, and develop domestic and international suppliers to support business objectives.
  • Supply Chain Leadership: Provide direction and oversight across purchasing, sourcing, materials management, inventory control, planning, and logistics.
  • Cost Management: Drive measurable cost reductions through supplier negotiations, total cost of ownership analysis, and continuous improvement.
  • Inventory & Materials Planning: Optimize inventory levels, material availability, forecasting, and working capital.
  • Operational Collaboration: Partner with operations, engineering, finance, and commercial teams to align supply chain strategies with business needs.
  • Team Development: Build, coach, and develop high-performing supply chain teams while establishing accountability and performance expectations.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to strengthen processes, reduce risk, improve efficiency, and support long‑term business growth.
Qualifications
Required
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in supply chain management, procurement, or related operations.
  • Proven experience developing and executing strategic sourcing initiatives, including identifying new suppliers, negotiating agreements, and delivering measurable results.
  • Strong background in supplier negotiations, supplier development, and purchasing strategies.
  • Experience managing multiple supply chain functions, including procurement, inventory, and materials planning.
  • Strong financial and analytical skills, including cost analysis, inventory optimization, and performance metrics.
  • Ability to lead teams, influence cross‑functional partners, and drive organizational improvement.
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
Preferred
  • Experience in manufacturing, remanufacturing, industrial equipment, or related industries.
  • Experience sourcing components, raw materials, or engineered products.
  • Experience developing domestic and international supplier relationships.
  • Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and supply chain analytics.
  • Professional certifications such as CPSM, CSCP, or CPIM.
What We're Looking For

We value leaders who are comfortable working both strategically and operationally. Successful candidates understand how to build a sourcing strategy, negotiate effectively, develop reliable suppliers, and ensure materials are available to support customer and operational needs.

Most importantly, these are build‑and‑improve roles. We are looking for professionals who can build by finding, developing, and managing strong supplier relationships—and improve by strengthening processes, inventory management, planning, and forecasting. These roles are not focused on simply administering an existing purchasing function.
